Course content
1. Fundamental chemical terminology and laws, SI units. 2. Inorganic chemical nomenclature (oxides, acids, bases). 3. Inorganic chemical nomenclature (salts, ammonia derivatives, acid derivatives). 4. Determination of Empirical formula , stoichiometric calculations. 5. Structure of matter, electron arrangement, bonding. 6. Electron formula. 7. Solutions, solution composition, concentration calculations, dilution, solubility. 8. Theory of acids and bases, acidic and basic processes, calculations (pH, dissociation constant, dissociation degree). 9. Redox processes, balancing redox equations, ionic equations. 10. Calculations from chemical equations. 11. Basics of chemical nomenclature of coordination compounds, stereochemistry of inorganic molecules. 12. Thermochemistry, basic thermochemical calculations. 13. Electrolysis, Faraday's laws.
