Course content
|
1. Introduction and evaluation of study object. Basic terms - muscle weakening, hypertonus. Internal incoordination, tender points, trigger points, PIR, MET, stretching, fascia techniques. Test 1. 2. Anamnesis - principles, important data for kinesiological analysis. Aspect examination, palpation. 3. Foot - palpation of bone structures, mobilization of IP, MTP, TMT, Lisfranc, Chopart, upper ankle. 4. Leg muscles I, II (insertion, function, innervation; palpation + muscle clarification. Palpation of reflex changes, PIR, MET, TrP pressure release). 5. Knee joint - anatomy, biomechanics, movements. Evaluation, tests, capsular pattern, mobilization. 6. Thigh muscles I. Thigh muscles II. (insertion, function, innervation; palpation + muscle clarification. Palpation of reflex changes, PIR, MET, TrP pressure release). 7. Thigh muscles III. (insertion, function, innervation; palpation + muscle clarification. Palpation of reflex changes, PIR, MET, TrP pressure release). 8. Hip joint - anatomy, biomechanics, movements. Evaluation, tests, capsular pattern, mobilization. Coccyx, SI, symphysis - anatomy, biomechanics, movements. Evaluation, tests, capsular pattern, mobilization. 9. Practical exam, test. 10. Hand, wrist - anatomy, biomechanics, movements. Evaluation, tests, capsular pattern, mobilization. 11. Muscles of the hand, forearm. Learning outcomes
|
The main goals of the lessons are to inform students about new kinesiotherapeutic methods (neuromuscular facilitation and inhibition) and about comprehensive treatment on the strength of functional anatomy, kinesiology, neurophysiology and kinesiotherapy. Students learn about soft tissue techniques which are important for treatment of structural and functional disorders of locomotor system.
The student uses the acquired knowledge in clinical practice, the student is able to choose a suitable examination method and technique and to practically apply it in the framework of comprehensive treatment.

Prerequisites
|
The prerequisite for the study of this subject is sufficient knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, physiology and neurophysiology of movement control.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Analysis of Activities ( Technical works), Written exam
50 points in the practical exam, min 30 points in each part of the theoretical test (anatomical part, kinesiological part, clinical part)
