Case study: European TV industries 6. Case study: American TV industry 7. Case study: Netflix as an example of global TV service 8. Case study: HBO Europe as an example of transnational TV broadcasting 9. Case study: Dual media system 10. Case study: The shape of state televisions 11. Case study: political and economic aspects of TV industries 12. Case study: branding television

Learning outcomes
Seminar is focused on introducing forms of TV industries in contemporary TV culture. Specific topics of the course are influenced by reseach interest of lecturers. The goal is to explore various forms of TV institutions, TV landscapes and cultures that are present in global and national TV businesses. Students will analyze general characteristics of chosen TV industries, as well as to analyze scecific examples of TV institutions and TV content that is influenced by the TV industries.
Students will learn to interpret and analyze TV industries. They will gain knowledge of basic methodologies and theoretical concepts of how TV industries actually work.

Essay, Student performance

active participation on discussions mandatory reading a presentation of chosen TV industries case (such as Netflix as an TV institution operating in global market) written essay on the role of chosen TV instituion in TV industries, case study included (8 - 10 npg.)
