Course content
Specific thematic profile of the seminar is variable, the theme is specified at the beginning of semester. Usually the seminar is focused on specific programes and works, genres, authors, historical periods, stylistic features, etc. The outline of the seminar: 1. Determination of material which will be analyzed in the seminar. 2. Primary literature. 3. Discussion about methodology of students' work. 4. Submission of the analytical text + its presentation. 5. Discussion after the presentation. 6. Amendment of the text based on the feedback. 7. Additional use of the analysis.

Learning outcomes
seminar is led in Czech language The aim of the seminar is to apply knowledge from lectures focused on television and media studies. Specific thematic profile of the seminar is variable, the topic is specified at the beginning of the semester. Usually the seminar is focused on specific programes and works, genres, authors, historical periods, stylistic features, etc.
Students will prove their ability to analyse particular problems from the field of television and media studies. Students will gain knowledge of the concrete topic on account of studying relevant methodological literature, individual work and collective discussion. Students will be able to competently evaluate selected TV and other media products, their dramaturgical prehension, realization or other distribution media industry contexts linked to these specific outputs.
Prerequisites
Successful completion of KDU/UST1,UST2 or KDU/UMS is highly recommended. Required is knowledge of terms and basic concepts of television studies, as well as fiction/faction television programmes.
