Course content
|
The students will see some recent performances in the theatres in Olomouc, Brno and other theatres. The list of the relevant literature will be based on the subjects. The aim of course is to have knowledge of the basic processes and methods of analyze theatre inscenation, its videorecord. Passing the course is required by the presentation of review accepted by the lecturer and the activity in discussions.

Learning outcomes
|
In the first seminar of the first semester the students will focus on the contemporary theatre: every week they will analyze a recent performance. The choice of the performances will reflect post-modern and genre adaptations of the literary and film originals.
The students will cross the spectator-layman border and will learn to apprehend different functions, processes and means of the contemporary post-modern theatre, the ways and the possibilities of dramaturgic and directing interpretation of the original text, different kinds of theatres. The students will be also able to use the terms properly and to master the academic discussion abilities.

Student performance, Seminar Work
The students will gain the credit after attending at least 75% of the seminars. Every student will have to present the paper and also will have to discuss the relevant topics.
