Course content
|
Assignments will be handed out depending on current film premiers, after an agreement between the students and the lecturer.

|
Each of the participants will write several short articles of different types (reviews, columns, portraits, etc.). 1 - 3 pages in length. Furthermore, they will be expected to revise the work of their colleagues. The lecturer will evaluate primarily the length, theme and genre, style, grammatical correctness, and originality of the work.
Students become familiar with the job description of an editor in the cultural department of the press, television and other media. They will learn basic genres of film criticism and learn how to analyze specific texts. Students will master the basic processes in text editting. They will deepen their stylistic skills and learn how to adapt stylistic for specific groups of readers.

Prerequisites
|
Knowledge of Czech language (the subject is not suitable for foreigners). Basic knowledge of professional terminology.
