Course content
The course is taught in modules: in the first half of the semester, every Thursday from 17 February to 24 March 2022. The cycle is divided into six separate teaching blocks taught by Czech and foreign experts on the given topics. The individual thematic blocks will be divided into a lecture and a follow-up seminar. The content and topics of individual lectures and seminars in the summer semester 2022 will be specified in the course moodle at the beginning of the semester.

Learning outcomes
The lecture series focuses on the most current trends in contemporary theatre practice, as well as on key themes and issues explored in contemporary theatre studies. Emphasis is placed especially on exploring theatre art in the context of interdisciplinary, intermedia and intercultural overlap. It mainly reflects on the latest foreign theatre-performative productions and forms of their reflection and seeks to characterize and contextualize them in relation to current theatre studies theories.

Mark, Student performance, Analysis of Creative works (Music, Pictorial,Literary), Seminar Work

Students actively participate in lectures and seminar discussions. Learners will be required to prepare for individual classes as instructed by the instructors. Students will finish the course by discussing the seminar paper, which they will send 7 days before the exam. The seminar paper must have the requirements of a scholarly text of 10 ns (coherent formulation of ideas, abstract, use of Czech and foreign literature). It is recommended to consult the topic of the text with the lecturers in advance.
