Course content
Cursoric reading of the Masoretic text in Hebrew, in the extent of 5 chapters of prose and 5 chapters of poetry.

Work with Text (with Book, Textbook)
  • Homework for Teaching - 30 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Advanced study of biblical Hebrew with special focus on: a) syntax of prosaic texts; b) characteristic features of Hebrew poetry.
Ability to analyze more complex Hebrew text.
Prerequisites
Basics of biblical Hebrew (morphology).

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

Active participation in contact lessons. Studying compulsory literature. Ability to apply knowledge from the literature in the analysis of a specific text.
