Course content
The New Testament Concept. History of the New Testament Canon. The New Testament text: the main Greek manuscripts; old translations; text criticism. Introduction to the political and religious background of the New Testament era. Detailed introduction to all New Testament books: circumstances of their composition, literary characteristics, structure, content, theology.

Learning outcomes
At the end of this course, students will be able to not only understand the circumstances of the composition of individual books of the New Testament, but also describe their literary and theological character based on the knowledge they have acquired.
After completing this course, you will be able to - describe the history of the formation of the New Testament canon and the transmission and preservation of the New Testament text, - explain the circumstances of the composition of individual New Testament books, - characterize the literary and theological nature of individual New Testament books.
Prerequisites
No special prerequisites are required to study the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

To complete the course, students must answer questions in the study guide with at least the minimum number of points and pass an oral exam.
