Course content
Basic concepts, setting of the origin of the Scripture, handing over of the religious traditions of Israel and the early Church, biblical languages, formation of biblical books and the history of the text, Canon, apocrypha, inspiration, the question of the veracity of the Scripture, the history of exegesis and the interpretation of the Scripture in the Church, relevant Church documents.

Basic concepts, setting of the origin of the Scripture, handing over of the religious traditions of Israel and the early Church, biblical languages, formation of biblical books and the history of the text, Canon, apocrypha, inspiration, the question of the veracity of the Scripture, the history of exegesis and the interpretation of the Scripture in the Church, relevant Church documents. The subject creation has been supported by the project Support of Interdisciplinary studies and Study Programmes Innovations at Palacký University in Olomouc, CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0091.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

To prove basic orientation in the subject matter during oral examination. The student is required to work with the learning objects, which have been created for the concrete subject and are available for authorized students in LMS EDIS (edis.upol.cz/cmtf).
