Course content
1. Molecular biological methods in veterinary diagnostics. PCR method and its modification, bacterial characterization (PFGE, MLVA, MLST), sequencing 2. Chemical analysis of food, raw materials and feed 3. Food quality (contaminants, allergens, nutritional values, additives, adulteration), Toxicology (case report) 4. Pathology in veterinary medicine, Bee diseases and their diagnosis, Diagnosis of parasitoses in veterinary medicine 5. Microbiology in medicine 6. Testing methods in serology. Overview, description and principle of serological methods, Material suitable for serological examinations, Interpretation of serological results, serological proof of disease

Learning outcomes
Introduction to biochemical, molecular biological and microbiological diagnostic methods used in veterinary medicine.

Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of biochemistry and molecular biology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

Written test - 8 questions. At least 6 must be answered correctly.
