The course will focus on practical demonstrations and case studies usually encountered in clinical biochemistry. The structure of the lecture will be structured similarly to KBC/KLB1. It will cover validation and verification of diagnostic methods, internal and external quality control, failure of reference limits for selected biomarkers, clinical performance of laboratory tests. In addition, common case studies from different areas of clinical biochemistry and practical implementation of therapeutic drug monitoring will be presented. Furthermore, the main analytical methods for important groups of parameters and their most common and important interferences will be discussed.
