Course content
Introduction and setting the requirements for the colloquium. Meaning of First aid , First aid system (lay, medical, technical), First aid legislation. First aid procedure, investigation of basic physiological functions (respiration, circulation, consciousness - evaluation of quantification and qualification). First aid in cardiac arrest or respiratory disorders (foreign body airway, out of breath, respiratory arrest). First aid with cardiac arrest, indirect heart massage (adults, young children, infants), cardiopulmonary resuscitation. First aid of bleeding (arterial - pressure points, pressure bandage, tourniquet use, venous, capillary, mixed; internal, bleeding from body openings). First aid with head injuries and spine and spinal cord (concussion, contusion). Bandage technique, using available types of dressing materials (patch, obinadlové, scarve, etc.). First aid with injuries of bones and joints (sprains, dislocations, fractures - closed, open, cluster). First aid with body damage by thermal effects (sunburn, heatstroke, burns, frostbite, hypothermia and others.). First aid in shock. shock. PP of drowning. Sudden states - epileptic seizures and other spastic conditions, asthma attack, hypo and hyperglycemic states. Sudden states - infarction, stroke, acute abdomen. - First aid for drowning. Acute conditions ? epileptic seizure and other convulsive conditions, asthma attack, hypo and hyperglycaemic conditions. - Acute conditions - MI, stroke, acute abdomen.

Lecture

Learning outcomes
First aid task of discipline is to provide students with a set of theoretical knowledge and practical skills that are important for providing first aid. Become familiar with the most common causes, consequences and symptoms of harm to human health. They will learn the whole system of first aid, and comprehensive knowledge in providing first aid, which correspond to the current state of knowledge. The teaching will become familiar with first aid for acute conditions that directly threaten human life: bleeding, injury to bones and joints, respiratory arrest and circulatory shock and unconsciousness like.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

active participation in tutorials, 90% attendance of tutorials The course is designed exclusively for students of Health Education with a focus on education in combination.
