| Conceptual framework (Health, Disease, Health Promotion, Health Education, Health Literacy, Health Determinants, Lifestyle, Active Health Approach, Health Support); theories of health and disease; protective and risk factors of lifestyle (especially nutrition and physical activity; dimensions and levels of health literacy; non-infectious epidemics as the leading causes of death and its prevention; Educators and students health (safety and health protection); health education in the curricular system of the Czech Republic; presentation of organizations, programs and projects promoting health and healthy lifestyle with emphasis on preprimary school pupils. |

| After passing the course, students should be able to: - explain the basic categories in their own words: health promotion, health education, health literacy, - categorize the levels and dimensions of health literacy, - define basic theories and models of health and disease, - explain the determinants of health, including lifestyle factors (nutrition, physical activity, biorhythms, risk areas - addictive behaviors - alcohol, smoking, drugs, non-substance addictions, risky sexual behavior, eating disorders, etc.), - describe the principle of prevention (especially primary or general prevention), - justify the influence of lifestyle and the approach to health on the development of non-infectious epidemics (so-called lifestyle diseases), - argue in favor of an active approach to health and to responsibility for the health of their own, as same as others, - clarify the relationship between the teacher's (educator's) responsibility for the protection of students health, - interpret the implementation of health support in curriculum documents, especially the Framework Educational Program for the Health Education domain "Člověk a jeho svět" (Human and his World), - demonstrate basic knowledge of projects and programs aimed at promoting health. |
