Objectives and Competencies: Students will learn about the specific concept of qualitative research studies. After completing the course, students should be able to: - clarify the meaning of qualitative research in non-medical health fields; - characterize theoretical approaches in qualitative research; - specify the principles of qualitative research methodologies; - recapitulate research methods, specifics of data processing and their interpretation; - describe the components of a research project with a qualitative focus in non-medical health fields; - clarify the hierarchy of reliability of scientific evidence of qualitative studies; - analyze the structure and content of a scientific article with the results of qualitative research. Main topics: 1. Application of qualitative research in pedagogy and non-medical health fields. 2. Theoretical approaches in qualitative research. 3. Techniques used in qualitative primary and secondary studies. 4. Specifics of data processing and interpretation in qualitative research. 5. Hierarchy of reliability of scientific evidence of qualitative studies. 6. The structure of a scientific article with the results of qualitative research. Connection with pedagogical practice: Students will discuss topics from pedagogical reality, suitable for qualitative studies.
