Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to deepen students' special knowledge of handball in terms of theory, skills and didactic approaches with respect to various age groups. The students will be capable of applying the knowledge of didactics of sports games and sports training into PE lessons in elementary and secondary schools and into handball training aimed at 15-year-old children. Emphasis is put on the methodology of training and modification of handball for the purposes of school-based PE and being able to organize a "Mini-handball school league" tournament. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
The student will know and will be capable of practical application of the methodology of training basic specific skills (ball handling, one handed overhead throwing - passing, shooting) into PE lessons (level 1 and 2 of elementary school, secondary school) in handball training. The student will participate in a "School league" mini handball tournament as a scorekeeper, timekeeper or referee and will understand basic principles of organizing a tournament.

Successful completion of Handball course.

Active participation in seminars (practical as well as theoretical). Practical didactic presentations. 100% attendance.
