Course content
The seminar includes an analysis of athletic rules and their application in practical refereeing of athletic contests. Participation in athletic contests in the capacity of an assistant referee.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce to the students the system of management and organization of athletic contests, refereeing athletic disciplines and the rules of safe movement in athletic stadiums. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
Upon completion of the course the student is able to apply athletic rules in practice and is able to participate in athletic contests in the capacity of an assistant referee. Students with outstanding results can obtain a class III athletics referee licence.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

Active participation in lectures and seminars. Successful completion of a written test from athletic rules. Participation in athletic contests in the capacity of an assistant referee.
