Course content
Methodological procedures for training of sprint running technique (low start), arm-swing running technique, hitch-kick long jump, shot put (glide). Training and imitation exercises for the development of speed, strength and endurance skills. Methodological procedures for relay handover training (top technique), high jump (flop), ball (grenade) throwing ? three-step throwing rhythm. Tempo endurance development methods.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to teach the students the practical and theoretical principles of selected athletic disciplines - techniques of run, long jump, shot put, relay, high jump, ball throwing.
Upon completion of the course the student has a general overview of methodological procedures for training various types of athletics disciplines (sprint running technique, arm swing running technique, shot put, long jump, relay race, high jump and throwing a ball)). The student is able to practically apply the reservoir of training and imitation exercises in individual athletic training and thus verify the effect of this exercise on the development of motor capabilities and skills.
Prerequisites
Basics of athletics covered by elementary and secondary schools. Knowledge and skills from PG1.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Didactic Test, Seminar Work

Credit is awarded upon completion of performance requirements, specified physical activity skills and participation in: UP Athletics Championship (PUP). Skills: - Preparation and leading of an introductory and training part of a teaching unit - Relay running technique (selection of relay handover) - High jump technique ? flop - Five-step throwing rhythm ? ball throwing - Long jump using the basic technique (hitch-kick), - Shot put using the glide technique.
