Course content
influence of an aqueous environment and swimming on a human, history of swimming, physical basics of swimming, methodology of training various swimming styles (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle), application of PE didactics into training of swimming, rules of swimming, other swimming sports (water polo, diving, synchronized swimming).

Learning activities and teaching methods
Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Observation, Demonstration, Training in job and motor Skils, Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
  • Attendace - 26 hours per semester
  • Homework for Teaching - 14 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Course Credit - 10 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to deliver lectures and seminars during which the students learn the theoretical knowledge associated with swimming and swimming sports. The student is actively involved in teaching swimming in a swimming school.
Upon completion of the course the student has theoretical knowledge of the didactics of swimming and the aspects of swimming sports (history, biomechanics, methodology, sports training, rules, etc.). The student is able to apply the knowledge from other areas (anatomy, physiology, physics, etc.) The student is able to apply this knowledge during teaching practice in a swimming school.
Prerequisites
A prerequisite for the course is successful completion of the requirements of the Swimming 2 courses.

Student performance, Didactic Test, Seminar Work

Final exam written test, oral examination.
