Course content
Didactic presentation with an athletic content in a selected teaching unit. Evaluation of the technical level of selected athletic disciplines and successful organizing/refereeing of an athletic contest.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to apply theoretical knowledge of methodological approaches in teaching various athletic disciplines into practice. Throughout the course the students learn about the organizational forms of teaching and various types of teaching units that can be used in teaching athletics in elementary and secondary schools. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
Upon completion of the course the students know the didactic procedures in teaching various athletic disciplines, are able to deliver various types and organizational forms of teaching units applicable in elementary and secondary schools.
Prerequisites
Successful completion of Bachelor's study (AT1, AT2, AT3).

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Student performance

Evaluation of the technical level in 9 selected athletic disciplines, evaluation of the quality of didactic presentation in a selected type of a teaching unit. Successful organization of athletic disciplines (participation in 3 athletic contests as a referee or organizer). Comprehensive exam from athletics consists of 4 areas: - Theory of athletics - history, biomechanical principles, didactics and organization of training, didactics of development of physical skills, rules of athletic disciplines and organization of athletic contests, - Athletic skills mark (average), - Athletic multi-event mark (athletic multi-event), - Didactic presentation mark.
