Course content
Unit 2 (Baumbach). Temporal data. Conjuctions. The history of Olomouc (Part 2). Life at the University. Comparison of nouns and adjectivs. Prepositions. Past participle. Past tenses. Housing. Declination of monarchal names. Geography - continents, countries, towns. Short texts from the Internet. Berliner Platz 1 Neu (Unit 9-10)

Learning outcomes
This is the second semester of a course. The course concentrates on the parallel development of German, both general and scientific. This course will focus especially on developing abilities to read, to comprehend and to translate scientific texts. The course concentrates also on practising other communication forms: speaking, listening and writing.
Ability to use scientific German for studies. Ability to read, to comprehend and to translate scientific texts. Development of language skills in general German. Language level A2/B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Prerequisites
Input level: minimum A2 of CEFR.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of linguistic, Didactic Test

Credit: 1. Course attendance - maximum of 2 absences. 2. Regular home preparation, especially written homeworks. 3. Successful passing of the credit test.
