Course content
Written part of examination Oral part of examination Evaluation of the achieved language competence(reading,listening,speaking, writing, cultural awareness and academic terminology) for general purpose and academic communication on intermediate level (B2 of CEFR) Test of range of language knowledge acquired in the course (German for intermediate students) based on textbook lessons 1-18. Test of knowledge of academic terminology, reading techniques and communication strategies acquired by way of all the processed authentic texts. Lessons 25 - 36 in its entirety (grammar, vocabulary, communication issues) Knowledge of all authentic texts (vocabulary, grammar and main content)

Learning outcomes
The exam involves the contents of "Intermediate German 1-4 (KAL/NSP1-4)" courses. Its aim is to check students´ knowledge within the scope of basic literature. Important: The course is entered into STAG together with NSP4 course.
Comprehensive development of all language skills on the B1-Level (CEFR): - speaking - listening comprehension - reading comprehension - writing After successful completion of the whole course, the students will achieve target level of B1 of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages; the exam will be provided on this level.
Prerequisites
Important: Sitting the exam is subject to prior successful completion of all the NSP1-4 courses.

Oral exam 2.1 Monologue: 2.1.a Fluent and coherent self-presentation 2.1.b Fluent and coherent presentation of a specialized topic(of the candidate´s choice) dealing with an issue of the field of study 2.2 Dialog: Conversation with the teacher (questions related to the two presentations - 2.1.a and 2.1.b) 2.3 Work with scientific text (of the candidate´s choice) 2.3.a Select 8 pages of scientific text (from the field of study) in the target language 2.3.b Summary of the main content of the text in the target language (ability to identify the important points of the text and to extract relevant information from the text) 2.3.c Analysis of the terminology of the text 2.3.d Analysis of the specific grammar of the text
