Course content
1. - 3. unit of the textbook. Working with additional authentic texts for reading and listening comprehension. Lektion 1: WER BIN ICH?: sich und andere vorstellen, über Freizeitaktivitäten sprechen, Tipps für Schreiben von Lebensläufen verstehen, ein Bewerbungsschreiben verfassen, über die ersten Tage im neuen Job sprechen GRAMMATIK: das Verb und seine Ergänzungen, Temporale Konjunktionen Lektion 2: DACH ÜBER DEM KOPF: über unterschiedliche Wohnformen/Wohnbedürfnisse sprechen, Texte zu Wohnen/Umzug/Mieten erschließen, über Umzugserfahrungen sprechen, über Arbeitsräume sprechen, geschäftliche Briefe/E-Mails schreiben GRAMMATIK: die Reihenfolge der Angaben; TEKAMOLO, Verneinung (Zusammenfassung) Lektion 3: WELTWÄRTS: eine Reise präsentieren, einen Text über Reiseformen verstehen, Ratschläge geben, Stellenanzeigen verstehen, Gründe und Folgen nennen GRAMMATIK: Konjunktiv II der Vergangenheit, Konjunktiv II der Vergangenheit mit Modalverb, Kausale Konjunktionen

Learning outcomes
The first semester of a two-semester course in German for upper-intermediate students without focus on their major. Its aim is to improve command of German on presumed B2 level of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. All types of language skills (perceptive, productive as well as interactive) are to be developed in the classes.
Comprehensive development of all language skills - speaking, listening comprehension, reading, writing. After successful completion of the whole course, the students will achieve target level of B2 of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Prerequisites
In case of greater number of applicants than possible, the priority will be given to students with obligatory foreign language classes. Recommended language knowledge for this course: B1. Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Didactic Test

Credit - requirements for granting certification: 1. Course attendance - maximum of 2 absences. Absence from the class is in no case a reason for being unprepared in the following seminar. If the student is not prepared, he/she can be regarded as being absent. 2. Active participation in the classes, regular home preparation, written home assignments/credit works. 3. Passing so-called "regular tests?" throughout the semester (passing level always 75%). Students who have not achieved given passing level shall write a comprehensive credit test in the following exam period. Warning: Students are obliged to finish every course by the end of exam period of the semester in which they enrolled for the course!
