Course content
Units 13-14 (event.15) from the textbook Berliner Platz neu 2. Revision of relevant grammar and vocabulary U 13) Das steht dir gut! Talk about clothes, buying clothes, express what I like, understanding advertisements. Grammar: adjectives (comparative and superlative), dative verbs, personal pronouns (summary) , demonstrative pronouns. U 14) Feste, Freunde, Familie. Talk about holidays, invite someone, respond to an invitation, talk about gifts, talk about family and friends, understanding diagrams. Grammar: reflexive pronouns (summary), verbs with two objects, modal verbs in preterite. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- U 15) Miteinander leben. Coexistence. Expressing feelings, expressing justification, ask for advice and provide advice, ask for help with understanding and provide it, communicate conditions, conflicts Grammar: subordinate clauses with the conjunction weil, subordinate clauses with the conjunction wenn. Current short videos and written texts from the Internet.

Learning outcomes
The first semester of a four-semester course concentrates on practising all the language competencies: speaking, listening, reading and writing - for every day life and work.
Development of language skills in general German(for every day life and work): - speaking (performance, interaktion) - listening - reading - writing Output language level - A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Systematic Observation of Student, Written exam

Credit: 1. Course attendance - maximum of 2 absences. 2. Regular home preparation, especially written homeworks. (Absence from the classes is in no case a reason for being unprepared in the following tutorial. If the student is not prepared, he can be regarded as being absent.) 3. Passing all so-called "small" tests during the semester (passing level always min. 70%). Students who have not achieved given passing level shall write a comprehensive credit test in the following exam period. It is possible to repeat an unsuccessfull "small" test but no later than 2 weeks after it has been written. Warning: Students are obliged to finish every course by the end of exam period of the semester in which they enrolled for the course (and only on the terms set by the teacher)!
