Course content
The exam is divided into the written and oral part. The written part (grammar + vocabulary) can be replaced by credit tests for every semester. For the oral part of the exam, students are supposed to find a subject-related text (5 pages) which should be submitted both electronically and in printed version at least 7 working days before the examination. Students will analyse the subject-related text (1 page, spacing 1,5). The procedure of the oral exam will be following: -The monologue/dialogue related to the field of study - student's interests, the topic of the bachelor/master thesis, future plans, etc. -Working with the text - short summary, choice of text etc. -Answering questions related to the text.

Learning outcomes
The examination will test the students' knowledge and skills acquired in the courses ASAM1 - ASAM4. By attending the four-term course and passing the exam students reach the B1+ level as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The student is able to read, understand and translate a subject-related text as well as able to express him/herself in the field of his/her study. Prerequisites
This is meant for the students who want to take an exam at the end of the four-semester Lower Intermediate English course. The exam can be taken on condition that the student has successfully passed all the four semesters of the course. The students will register for ASAMZ in STAG at the beginning of the semester along with other courses. Knowledge of English as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages - level B1.

Assessment methods and criteria

You have to have completed ASAM1 - ASAM4 succesfully to take ASAMZ, and register for the course in STAG at the beginning of the semester along with other courses. Emphasis is placed on reading comprehension and interpretation, grammar and vocabulary in accordance with the achieved language level B2. Part of the oral examination is also rechecking the grammar credit test (examination of any wrong answers). The oral examination is finished with a dialogue / monologue on one of the topics discussed during the semesters. You have to register for ASAMZ in STAG at the beginning of the semester along with other courses. Closer information on the exam can be found in Moodle (including mandatory information!).
