Course content

Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook)
Learning outcomes
The first term of the four-semester course for students with an intermediate level of English. The course focuses on practising all the communication forms: speaking, listening, reading and writing, so that the students are not only able to communicate on the general level of English but also to express themselves on topics related to their main study subjects. Length of the course: 4 semesters When the students fulfill all the requirements, they receive 2 credits at the end of each of the four semesters (the total of 8 credits). When the students succeed in fulfilling the requirements for all the four semesters, they can sit for the exam (ASZ). When they pass the exam sucessfully, they receive 2 credits. Total number of credits for the whole course (AS1-AS4 + ASZ): 10
Reading, writing, listening and speaking in the range of units 1-6 and additional materials. After the course (AS1-4) students move from level B1 to B2.
Prerequisites

Written exam, Student performance

- attendance max. 2 absences - Active participation in classes - Homework, grammar, texts etc. - Passing the final grammar test (min. 70%) - Presentations / other activities to be specified by the teacher at the beginning of the semester.
