Course content
Written part of the exam: Students will submit an essay (2 pages, i.e. 3, 600 characters including spaces). The essay should be submitted both electronically and in printed version at least 7 working days before the examination. The topics can be found in the Moodle. Oral part of the exam: -The monologue/dialogue related to the field of study - student's interests, topic of the bachelor/master thesis, future plans, etc. - Academic text reading comprehension. -The analysis of mistakes in the essay.

Learning outcomes
Examine the knowledge and abilities acquired during the four-semester course, AAM1, AAM2, AAM3 a AAM4.
By completing the course AAM, students will cover academic English at B1 level as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. They will extend their skills in the field of academic English so that they will be able to read and analyse texts with subject-related vocabulary, understand spoken subject-related contributions, and write shorter subject-related texts. They will be able to comment on the presented issues in English and their knowledge of various grammatical features and academic vocabulary will be developed.
Prerequisites
Courses AAM1-AAM4 and credits for every semester.

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark, Oral exam, Written exam

Students must sign up for the exam (AAMZ) in the electronic system STAG at the very beginning of the last semester of the course, i.e. they must sign up both for AAM4 and AAMZ. They also need credits for the four semesters of the course AAM1-AAM4 before the oral exam and submit a written essay.
