Course content
Active participation in a scholarly postgraduate conference in German language. The conference is not only intended for the postgraduate students who will do the exam in German language in their DSP, but to all postgraduate students from FF UP.

Learning outcomes
The main aim of the subject is to provide the postgraduate students from the Philosophical Faculty at Palacký University with an opportunity to participate actively in a scholarly conference and to present the outcomes of their doctoral dissertations in German language. The conference is not only intended for the postgraduate students who will do the exam in German language in their DSP. The conference will be held 21.05.2018. be able to develop an abstact be able to prepare and carry out a talk in German language be able to prepare a Power Point presentation be able to prepare a short handout for their talk be able to participate actively in the following discussion
Prerequisites
Required are the skills in German language at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, so that the students are able to prepare and then present their contribution/work in the target language and participate in the following discussion.
Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Dialog Students will give 15-20 minute talks in their target language. They have to submit a short abstract (350 words max. including the title and author) and a short handout (1 page) two weeks prior the beginning of the conference.
