Course content
Topics in American history from pre-European history up to the present.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Methods of Written Work
  • Attendace - 26 hours per semester
  • Homework for Teaching - 30 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Exam - 20 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Course Credit - 14 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Aims: After completing the course students will be able to: - describe the most important historical moments in the history of the United States, - outline the way in which individual events follow along a timeline, - characterize the meaning of the most important figures in US history, - explain the events which over history shaped the contemporary political situation in the United States, - select text, video etc, on any topic from American history for use in teaching English.
Knowledge of American history.
Prerequisites
Ability to communicate in English.

Student performance, Didactic Test, Written exam

Attendance, reading, participation, weekly tests, final test.
