1. Definition of the subject of ethics. Philosophical and historical roots and sources of healthcare ethics. 2. Codes and principles. Rights and duties. 3. Ethical principles. 4. Ethical issues and their resolution. Ethical dilemmas. 5. Major and minor ethical topics. 6. Informed consent and the duty of confidentiality. 7. Organ and gamete donation. 8. Palliative care, death, dying, and euthanasia.
