Course content
|
The subject includes information about the structure and function of cells and basic tissue types in the human body. The content is cytology, microscopic anatomy of tissues (epithelial, connective, muscle, nerve, blood), microscopic anatomy and the development of the cardiovascular and lymphatic systems. Early stages of embryonic development.

Learning outcomes
|
The first semester of histology and embryology includes gaining of both, theoretical and practical knowledge of the microscopic structure of basic tissue types. The cardiovascular and lymphatic systems are also discussed, as well as the basics of embryology.
Student understand the microscopic structure of basic tissue types and the cardiovascular and lymphatic systems. He/she is oriented in the early stages of embryonic development.

Basic knowledge of biology and chemistry at the level of secondary general education.

|
Mark, Didactic Test
Participation in practical sessions. Successful completion of partial tests.
