Introduction, terminology. Movement system as a whole. Movement stereotypes, coordination. Movement support system (ligaments, cartilage, bone, joints). Movement segment, Intervertebral discus. Muscle system - muscle tone, spasm, trigger point, contraction types. Muscle fibre types. Basics of motor control I. Motor unit. Spinal level, brain stem level. Basics of motor control II. - Cerebellum, BG, cortex. Motor learning. Kinesiology and patho-kinesiology of postural system. Kinesiology and patho-kinesiology of gait. Kinesiology and patho-kinesiology of respiration. Kinesiology of orofacial area. Kinesiology of spine, thorax and abdominal wall. Kinesiology of cervical spine and TM complex. Kinesiology of lumbar spine and pelvis. Hip and knee kinesiology. Kinesiology of ankle and foot. Arches of the foot. Kinesiology of shoulder girdle. Kinesiology of elbow and hand. Handgrips. Posture, locomotion.

Selected categories of general kinesiology - mechanical principles of movement as a function; kinematics - osteokinematics, arthrokinematics - movement classification with the aspect of mathematical-physical analysis and clinical morphological applications; kinetics - movement analysis via the aspect of power vectors.
Students will be able to use theoretical knowledge in clinical applications of individual mechanical movement principles in clinical practice. |
