1. Basics of canistherapy. 2. Practical examples of canistherapy. 3. Use of canistherapy in children with autism, ethics of working with animals. 4. Suitability of individual breeds of dogs for canistherapy and necessary certificates. 5. The locomotor apparatus of the dog and the use of Dorn's method in canistherapy.

This course is intended to introduce students to canistherapy. The subject is designed as practical. Students will broaden their horizons from the side of animal versus human. They will learn how connecting to a person works to such an extent that he is able to help sick or otherwise disabled children and adults.
Students are introduced to the locomotor system of a dog and the basics of the Dorn method, which can be applied in canistherapy. |
