Course content
|
The lectures are given by leading experts from various fields - psychology, pedagogy, history and political science, security studies and sociology. The learning outcomes are described in more detail for each thematic section. The course is aimed at increasing competence in basic areas (first aid, physical safety) and gaining perspective and learning tools for stress elimination. Brief annotation of each part of the course: 1. First aid basics 2. Crisis situations and their management 3. How to prepare for the labour market 4. The world is in turmoil, the head is calm - how to keep your perspective and boundaries in a world where we are daily subjected to psychological tricks 5. Pathways to mental resilience - how our ability to resist adversity and stress is linked to our physical preparation 6. Tools and methods of student well being - Take care of yourself 7. Never Better or Comparative Historical Optimism

Learning outcomes
|
KPZ - Positive Change Course is an interdisciplinary series of interactive lectures aimed at promoting mental resilience, personal integrity and the ability to make responsible decisions in the uncertain conditions of the contemporary world. Participants will learn basic skills related to mental health care, prevention of toxic influences, navigating the changing job market, and managing crisis situations.
The course is aimed at increasing competence in basic areas (first aid, physical safety) and gaining perspective and learning tools for stress elimination.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance, Written exam
Compulsory attendance (max. two absences). Completion of continuous tasks in Moodle, reflection of completed lectures/seminars. Final test on basic first aid and safety in crisis situations.
