Course content
The subject provides students with essential information on agroecosystems and their evolution, on the influence of environmental factors on organisms within agroecosystems, structure and dynamics of agrocenoses and productivity of agroecosystems. Attention is also paid to soil ecology in agroecosystems, environmental problems of agriculture and agroecological analysis of main production systems. The farmer's role in the landscape is explained to students in practical examples, as well as essential systems of management and the concept of sustainable agricultural systems.

Learning outcomes
The course aims at presenting actual information and procedures from the branch. Major approaches, conceptual and theoretical topics are listed in syllabus.
Students can explain basic terms in agroecology, describe the main production systems and their effect on environment, the policy of the protection of rural landscape and have knowledge about possible measures in agro-envi schemes.
