Learning outcomes
Objectives of this subject may be divided in knowledge objectives and skills objectives. The knowledge objective of this subject is repetition and application of knowledge already acquired in other subjects taught by different teachers at Law faculty of Palacky University. The skills objective of this subject is to teach the students with basics of scientific work, preparation of syllabuses for teaching and teaching itself. This subject is based on a proved fact that a man learns the most when he teaches someone. By teaching basics of law in secondary schools, they will also learn how to communicate usually incomprehensible legal text to a layman in a way comprehensible for him because law is not here only for lawyers but for everyone. Social dimension which will be fulfilled by this subject is education of group of secondary school students so they would be able to resolve basic everyday legal problems by themselves and as a result they would be capable of meeting the principle stating that ignorance of the law does not excuse anyone.
In this subject, students will link theoretical knowledge already acquired with gaining skills of public presentation, discussion, argumentation, transferring knowledge further - teaching, presenting legal issues in a comprehensible way for laymen, using basics of scientific work; looking up the materials, utilizing it and deducing conclusions from it.

Student performance

Colloquy is obtained based on active participation of the student and development of appropriate knowledge and skills.
