Aula Internacional Plus 3 (lessons 1-3) + study materials available at Moodle Unit 1: Prohibido Prohibir (grammar: expressing prohibitions, duties, habits; vocabulary: social habits, vocabulary and school) Unit 2: Volver and Empezar (grammar: differences between pretérito perfecto and indefinido, periphrases for expressing the beginning or ending of an action; vocabulary: work and life events) Unit 3: Maňana (grammar: expressing future actions and situations, conditions, hypotheses; vocabulary: problems of the contemporary world, personal projections for the future)

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the introductory semester is to consolidate previously acquired language skills in Spanish (grammar, vocabulary) and language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing), to further develop them and progress gradually towards B1 CEFR.
Completing this course, students will master the subject matter within the scope of lessons 1 to 3 of the textbook Aula Internacional Plus 3 (see Contents). At the end of the whole course (SJ1-SJ4), students will be able to demonstrate their knowledge of Spanish at B1 level according to CEFR.

Prerequisites
|
Knowledge of Spanish at A2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference is expected. This knowledge includes all language skills (reading, listening, writing and speaking). The prerequisites include knowledge of vocabulary and grammar at a given level. Prior to enrollment, we recommend that students check their level on freely available tests on the Internet ("prueba de nivel").

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Analysis of linguistic, Didactic Test, Written exam
active participation in lessons (min. 80 % attendance) regular home preparation (includes regular checking of the course in Moodle) elaboration of assigned tasks final written test (min. 70% for passing); the structure and content of the test are based on the basic study material
