Course content
Lemcke, Ch. - Rohrmann, L. - Scherling, T. Berliner Platz 2 NEU. Deutsch im Alltag. Lehr- und Arbeitsbuch. München: Klett-Langenscheidt, 2013. (lessons 19-21) Study materials in the Moodle system (available to students enrolled in the course).

Learning outcomes
In this semester students will do another three units (19-21) from the Berliner Platz 2 NEU coursebook which develop their communication abilities and include activities related to all four language skills. More focus will be put on students' productive writing skills. A systematic development of students' ability to communicate in their study field language is also part of the course.
After passing the course students will be able to use the grammar and vocabulary (units 19-21 of the coursebook) well. At the end of the whole course (NJ1-NJ4) they will be able to prove that their language skills are at the B1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
Prerequisites
German language at the A2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference. This includes all the language skills, i. e. reading, listening, writing and speaking. Students' grammar and vocabulary skills must also be at the required level.
