Course content
The content of the course: - Practising of communication skills, techniques and strategies (written, verbal and nonverbal) for use in the career in the given intercultural environment - Acquiring knowledge of cultural and social specifics of target language countries (for example Etiquette and manner, time perception, clichés etc.) in light of their influence on the career The course includes: - a speech of the representative of the application sphere ( the representative of multinational concern of target language country), who will present his/her experiences - a presentation of a student the participant of the internship, who will present his/her experiences from the internship in the target language country - e-learning materials to extend, test and strengthen intercultural knowledge in INTLAG http://intlag.upol.cz/(Login and username to INTLAG is the same as login into PORTAL UPOL) Note: The course will be intensive and will be held in 3 consecutive days, block-by-block (8 hours each day, a break for lunch included: 9.00 - 12.15 a 13.30 - 16.45)

Learning outcomes
The Intercultural Communication course (for pre-intermediate level A2) is aimed at language and intercultural competencies acquisition and basic learning which is important for a smooth integration of students (participants of internships) into work, studies and cultural environment of the target language countries. The intensive course will be held in 3 days with the help of e-learning materials. In the academic year 2019/2020 the course will be held: January/February: CANCELED May/June: 20.05. - 22.05. 2020 WE - FR Minimum number: 8 students!
Language competencies focused on intercultural and career specifics of target language country - Intercultural competencies and knowledge aimed to career in target language country Gained competencies will: - ready to react and speak in Spanish - assist in increasing chances to obtain the foreign internship - contribute to the smooth integration of student to work environment of target language culture and to successful undertaking of foreign internship
Prerequisites
Necessary level of attainment to participate in the course: level A2 of Common European Framework of References for Language Learning (CEFR) (pre-intermediate) CEFR online: http://europass.cedefop.europa.eu/cs/resources/european-language-levels-cefr

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of linguistic, Didactic Test, Seminar Work

Requirements granting the credit: - 100% participation (the intensive course will be held in 3 days, block-by-block) - active participation (active involvement in discussions, team work, cooperation with other participants, etc.) - fulfilment of tasks given by the course lecturer: presentation, CV, cover letter, and successful passing of the final test (min. 70%)
