Learning outcomes
The final exam checks if students' language skills are at the B1+ level after passing the two-semester course AJ5 and AJ6. Students can check their language skills in the placement test at their disposal after enrolling in their studies (http://placement-test.ff.upol.cz).
At the end of the whole course (AJ5-AJ6) students will be able to prove that their English skills are on level B1+ according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
Prerequisites
Passing the two semesters is the basic prerequisite for registering for the exam. The exam consists of the written and oral part and is based on the Navigate B1+ Intermediate coursebook.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Written exam

The written part focuses on listening, reading comprehension and writing, it also checks the grammar and vocabulary related to the units in the coursebook. Employing the form of a monologue and dialogue, the oral part checks students' speaking skills on the required level in both general language and subject-related language. Only students who have successfully passed the written test can do the oral part.
