Course content
Two weeks of surgical practice in regional hospitals.

Learning outcomes
Basic orientation in practical perioperative care of surgical patients from admission to release. The student will be introduced to the diagnostic process and indications for surgical procedures, assisting at basic operations, postoperative care and determining subsequent care.
After completing the clinical training, the student will be familiar with documentation of a surgical patient, learn how to work with the unified hospital information system, the imaging system (PACS), will be capable of assisting at basic operations and be introduced to the process of postoperative intensive and standard care.
Prerequisites
Good knowledges of fundamental surgery.
CH1/VC013 and PAT/VCB11 and PFY/VCB12 and CJA/VCB21

Student performance

Attendance of practice, confirmation and evaluation from the head of surgery department.
