Course content
- Plant cell Cytology - cell surfaces, intracellular structures, mitosis, meiosis. - Histology - characteristics and classification of plant tissues. - Plant organology - ontogeny, phylogeny, anatomical and morphological structure of vegetative and generative organs; morphology and anatomy of roots - root systems, apical meristems and adventititous roots, primary and secondary structure, myccorhiza, metamorphosis of roots, economic importance; morphology and anatomy of stem - economic importance, meristems of growth apices, morphology, embranchment, primary and secondary structure, metamorphosis of stems; morphology and leaf anatomy, Telome theory, leaf ontogeny, leaf vernations, anatomy structure of C3 and C4 plants, metamorphosis of leaves, economic importance; Plant reproduction - vegetative and generative, metagenesis isomorphic and heteromorphic, modes of reproduction and developmental cycles in vascular plants; seed reproduction - morphology and anatomy of reproductive organs of ferns, gymnospermous and angiospermous plants; morphology, anatomy and dispersion of seeds and fruits.

Learning outcomes
The course deals with general information on Plant architecture.
Student will be able to after course: - describe the plant cell; - classify plant tissue; - Describe the anatomical and morphological structure of vegetative and generative plant organs and explain their evolution; - compare methods of reproduction in different groups of plants; - make a simple microscopic preparations.

Basics of microscopy techniques.

Theory and basic terms - test. Practical description of anatomical and morphological plant structure with emphasis on didactic types - verbal part of exam.Reguired participation in the exercises.
