Key learning outcomes
|
The programme is divided into four semesters. First three are connected with active participation, when students regularly attend lectures, courses and training. The first semester is focused on a history of the discipline, the issue of residential structures and the introduction into several specializations. The second semester is connected with the preparation and methodology of an archaeological research project, the issue of a reconstruction of a world of ideas and a burial rite, selected chapters of a chosen specialization and detail knowledge of mobile sources of a given period of time. The third semester acquaints students with current trends in a theory of this field of study, interdisciplinary research as well as a selected specialization. The fourth semester concentrates on individual work related to a thesis task, this is interconnected with consultations with a supervisor and a preparation for a final state exam. An integral part of a study is professional experience with practical training in archaeological field as well as interdisciplinary research and also in archaeological laboratories aimed at preservation, a record and an analysis of mobile archaeological material. The study is largely based on work on a thesis task and thesis courses where a student improves his selected specialization.
