| 
        Batrachology as a field of study,  a brief history of Batrachology; basic characteristics of Amphibians; anatomy and morphology; origen and evolution of Amphibians. Amphibian ecology - food and feeding behavior; temperature and water relations; reproduction and life history; movements and orientation; communication. Classification and diversity of extant Amphibians. Impact of human activities on Amphibians and conservation options.

                Anatomy, ecology, phylogeny and systematics of Amphibia
                 Student should be able to (after attending the course): - describe anatomy and morphology of amphibian body - describe system and phylogeny of Amphibians - explain the amphibian physiology and ecology - recognize important families by main morphological and ecological characteristics - identify local representatives of the Amphibians to the species level using identification keys  |
