Learning outcomes
|
The objective of VCJ/ATPE2 is to develop essential language and to build English vocabulary related to selected environmental topics at level B2 of the Common European Framework for Languages.
Acquisition of specific terminology on the B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.

Prerequisites
|
Students must have a minimum language level in English of level B1 of the Common European Framework for Languages (CEFR). A very good knowledge of grammar is expected since grammar is not taught in the course. To check which level of the CEFR you are currently at, we recommend that you use online tests, for example at http://examenglish.com/leveltest/index.html

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam, Written exam
Students are required to attend the classes although they may be absent twice per semester and they must participate in an active way. They must prepare for the classes as required by their teacher, including completing tasks from the elearning course in Courseware and learning vocabulary. They must successfully pass an ungraded written exam on terminology covered in this course and an oral exam - a presentation on a topic approved by the teacher. The final grade is based on active participation during the semester and the result of the final oral examination - presentation on a topic approved by the teacher.
