Learning outcomes
The course aims to develop an advanced understanding of the relationships between molecular structure, electronic properties, chemical reactivity, and molecular function. Emphasis is placed on modern concepts of physical organic chemistry, mechanistic analysis, structure?reactivity relationships, and predictive models of chemical behaviour.
Students learn to critically analyse experimental evidence, evaluate mechanistic hypotheses, and integrate contemporary computational approaches into the interpretation and prediction of chemical reactivity. The course emphasizes intellectual skills required for independent scientific reasoning and hypothesis-driven research.
