Course content
The subject's scope covers principles and concepts of key technologies (DPZ, GIS, analyses in GIS, web services, sensoring systems). Students will be introduced to contemporary as well as newly-arising data sources of a national and international character. In the field of models, attention is especially paid to advanced analytical and simulation models for selected elements of the environmental sphere, especially the possibilities of their adaptation for the conditions in the Czech Republic. The main emphasis is paid to practical mastery of fundamental principles and working with real data and acquired information. A student independently prepares a technical study on a theme they select themselves in which they will interpret the data acquired and processed. " Data sources for monitoring landscape conditions and changes " Remote Earth Sensing - basic concept and methodology, application possibilities, and programme and data support for environmental studies " Geographic information systems - basic concept and methodology, application possibilities, and programme and data support for environmental studies " Web services/cloud services for environmental analyses - basic concept and methodology, application possibilities, and programme and data support for environmental studies " Sensoring systems - basic concept and methodology, application possibilities, and programme and data support for environmental studies " Analysis of landscape use and structure " Biodiversity analysis " Analysis of eco-systemic services " Analysis of development and landscape dynamics " Modelling of development and landscape dynamics
