                Learning outcomes

                To introduce students with selected topics from plant molecular biology supplied with current scientific information from the particular area. The course is supplemental to basic course Plant Physiology (LRR/FZRSB), Plant Growth and Development (LRR/RVR), Specialized Plant Physiology(LRR/SFR).
                 
                After passing the course, the student should be able to: - Describe mechanisms of plant responses to abiotic stress - Explain plant senescence and programmed cell death  - Describe plant responses to biotic stress  - Obtain knowledge about basis and principles of gene engineering and its use in research and practice
