| 
        In the lecture, software engineering fundamentals will be taught with a particular focus on geographic applications. Specific contents comprise SWE concepts (object-oriented programming, scripting), which will be taught along with concrete implementation technologies (Java, Python, PHP). More, special geo-software applications will be presented (Google Maps, Google Earth, GeoTools, GeoServer, OpenLayers a.o.). Current hot topics such as Web 2.0, web-based data analysis, Complex Event Processing and real-time sensor fusion round off the topic spectrum.
