Course content
1. Digital geographical data in the Czech Republic and in the world 2. Division and types of spatial analyzes 3. Map algebra 4. Vector overlay analysis 5. Basics of interpolation and triangulation 6. Fundamentals of topology and network analysis 7. Geocoding - principles, reverse geocoding, realization in ArcGIS 8. Spatial Queries and Operations (Searching for Optimal Locations) 9. Modelling in ArcGIS (ModelBuilder and Tasks) 10.-12. Map completing in GIS

Learning outcomes
The course is focused on detailed introduction of geographic information systems in various spatial analyzes. Emphasis is placed on practical exercises, in which students are familiarized with several specialized extensions (eg 3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst, Network Analyst) and with possibilities of creating thematic maps and calculations in Model Builder. Each exercise is solved with other data, so that students will be presented the most used data sets in the Czech Republic and in the world. Exercises are accompanied by a theoretical introduction and practical demonstrations led by the teacher.
